Charity Shop Finds January 2014

Here are a couple of things I bought in the charity shops this month...

Glass bird trinket jar

This glass trinket jar cost £1.99. I love the little birds on this. It was super hard to photograph but it really does look lovely on the dressing table.

Votive Love Lamp

I picked up this Votive Love Lamp for £2.50. I haven't seen these before and with my obsession for candles I was kinda excited by this, am I weird? I really like it and i definitely think it was a good bargain, the vintage design on the front is so pretty!

I didn't find much this month but I am definitely happy with the two gems I did find.

Have you found anything interesting in a charity shop lately?

Upcycled Nail Polish Shelves

A while ago when I was rooting through one of my local charity shops I found this little shelf unit and instantly imagined it on my wall holding my nail polishes. I am always on the look out for nail polish storage solutions!

BEFORE

AFTER

I used my good old Annie Sloan chalk paint and a little sample pot of wicks chalk paint for the purple. The flowers are decoupaged on.

I'm still yet to sort through my nail polish, it's going to take a while...

What do you think?

                                                  Oh and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Charity Shop Haul August 2013 ♥

The other day I went charity shop shopping, I love it! You never know what you are going to find.

It was a successful day and here are some of the gems I found

I found this Baylis & Harding wild rose & raspberry leaf set in the first shop we went into, it cost £2.

Then I found this pastel blue Laura Ashley skirt, unfortunately it's a bit tight on me at the moment. This cost £4.

I noticed this just as I was about to leave one of the shops, it's a Yankee Candle tart warmer and only cost £3.

I also found a black pair of New Look Yes Yes skinny jeans for £3 and an old key cupboard for £3 that I plan on upcycling! Keep an eye out for some upcycling posts.

What do you think?
Do you enjoy a rummage through a charity shop as well?
