NUDESTIX

Recently I won a competition and the prize was some new makeup from a brand I had never heard of before that has just recently been launched at SpaceNK!

Nudestix is created by two sisters Ally & Taylor, and their Mum Jenny who has had over 20 years of beauty experience! Basically it is a brand that consists of products that enhance your natural beauty rather than cover it up.
You can read all about Nudestix here.

As you can imagine, I was super excited to try them out so when the postman turned up with them I didn't hang about.

I received a cute little tin with a mirror in the lid (very handy) containing a lash lengthening mascara, eye pencil in the shade 'Golden' and a sharpener which is another handy little addition.

The eye pencil acts as an eyeliner, eye shadow and highlighter with a smudger attached on the other side.  It has a lovely creamy texture making it easy to apply and blend, I like to use this all over as an eye shadow, Golden is a lovely shade and is one I would've chosen myself.

My favourite has to be the mascara though! The brush is a perfect size and it volumises and lengthens all my lashes with no clumping whatsoever. It has quickly become my go to mascara during the day now and I will more than likely be purchasing this when it has run out.
Also it claims to increase your lashes natural growth rate, bonus!

I think this brand is great and can see it being a big hit in the future!
You can purchase Nudestix products from SpaceNk.

Have you heard of this brand before? What do you think of the whole natural look idea?

Yankee Candle Dupes

Whilst browsing my local Home Bargains yesterday I spotted these little candle jars, at first glance they really looked like Yankee Candles but on second look they are actually by a brand called Wickford & Co.

See how similar they look to the Yankee Candle jars?

I picked up the three scents pictured, Sweet Pea, Rose Bouquet and White Sands. There were some other scents but I only got these for now.
All three candles smell lovely and as roses are my favourite scent I have already had Rose Bouquet on the burn and I must say that I am not disappointed! It has a strong lingering scent without being too overpowering.

Want to know how much these little jars of loveliness cost?

Just 49p! Yes, madness!

So if you are looking for some pretty looking, beautiful scented candles but do not want to splash out on Yankees then these are for you.
They had some larger jars as well for £2.99 and I will definitely be picking some up next time I'm in there!

Lip Voltage review

After joining the hype for this lip gloss I finally got my hands on it, it seems like women have gone mental for Lip Voltage and maybe I did as well (a little bit).

It is made by a company called Dream Weave & Co and you get two tubes, the actual lip gloss which is clear (has a sponge applicator) and the Mix Up The Voltage drops. You put the drops into the lip gloss depending on how much voltage you want and mix for 20 seconds. I only used 1 drop which is low voltage for my first time using it as I had heard it can hurt quite a bit, and I'm not going to lie, it did hurt but it was bearable and the pain wore off after about ten minutes so I then went for two drops (medium voltage) and after the pain wore off I went for it with 3 (high voltage).

You can tell from my before and after pictures that it does make quite a noticeable difference, I loved the effect and it is definitely worth going through that bit of pain!

The lasting power is really good and I had nice plump lips for the whole day without having to reapply anymore voltage.

Lip voltage does what it claims and I am very impressed with it and I'm glad I managed to eventually get hold of one.

It seems to always be out of stock but its worth a quick search on Google for stockists and check the Lip Voltage Twitter page. It costs around £15.99.

Have you tried Lip Voltage yet?

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer

I have been using the Origins GinZing moisturizer now for 3 months and it is fantastic!

It contains natural ingredients and is free from harsh chemicals. Perfect.

The oil free formula is really light so it sinks into the skin straight away leaving it feeling refreshed and silky meaning it makes a perfect moisturiser before applying make up.
My little dry patches have disappeared since using this cream and my skin all round looks healthier.

It has a beautiful citrus scent that makes me actually look forward to applying this, am I weird?

The GinZing moisturizer is the first product from Origins that Ive tried and I am not disappointed at all. I cant wait to try out another Origins product but I'm unsure what to try next, any suggestions?

The 50ml pot costs £23 from Boots and is worth every penny in my opinion.

Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer

I have finally discovered the perfect affordable concealer in the form of Collections Illuminating Touch!

This little gem is just magic.

It is a 3-1 product that corrects, highlights and illuminates and contains light diffusing particles.
It's available in three shades, Glow, Natural and Naked and I use the shade Naked as it hides my dark under eyes really well and doesn't dry out my skin either.
It comes in a pen like dispenser that you have to twist the bottom to make the product come out of the synthetic bristles at the top, the lid does gets mucky but I do prefer this style for application. The writing on the pen also rubs off fairly quick but it's the actual product inside that matters to me and for £4.99 i'm really not going to complain.

I'm on my second pen now and I will carry on purchasing, I could not go a day without this!

Have you tried this concealer? Do you have any recommendations for when I next purchase something from Collection?

Our weekend away at Hayling Island

A while ago me and Ky decided to try out a sun holiday, so after collecting all the tokens and choosing our preferred destinations we were given a Parkdean holiday at Hayling Island, I was actually hoping for Butlins at first but now I am really glad we got Hayling!
The caravan or mobile home or whatever you actually call it was amazing, I was expecting us to be given one of the cheapest ones to be honest but this one was really lovely, my boyfriend even said how he could live in one!
Parkdeans entertainment was quite impressive as well, there was something on every night, and also during the day but we only went to the night time ones.
Stanley thoroughly enjoyed himself there, he spent most of the day time telling us he wanted to go dancing bless him, I have a little party animal on my hands! On our last night he got called onto the stage to play a game to win some points for his team, I was so proud of him as I was expecting him to do a runner as he can be quite shy. The entertainers were lovely and really did make a good effort.

Proud mummy moment right here!

I have decided I'm one of those people who love pebble beaches, I loved spending time on the beach searching for interesting stones and sea glass. There's not tons of things to do at Hayling Island but it makes the perfect location for a relaxed weekend getaway. We are planning on going back next year and I can see Parkdean at Hayling Island being a regular getaway for us now.

We did take a trip to Portsmouth whilst on holiday, Gunwharf Quays was amazing! I managed to get the Cath Kidston Garden Birds day bag and purse I had been lusting after for ages for much cheaper than your typical Cath stores. We will definitely be returning there!
